The conference followed on from the highly successful Semantic Web Working Symposium held at Stanford University, USA in 2001. Each submission was evaluated by at least two referees, mainly members of the Program Comm- tee. This resulted in the selection of 40 papers for presentation at the conference and publication in this volume. Of these, 27 are research papers, 6 are position papers, and 7 are system description papers. We would like to thank the many people who made ISWC 2002 possible. rigorous but complete

I used this book to study for the AP Physics C exam and it was quite a daunting task. I supplemented my reading with a Princeton Review study guide for physics B and C though, and I found it was the perfect combination: the Halliday/Resnick text gave me the details, and the Princeton Review put it in English for me. I feel prepared for the exam, either way.

Essential Reading!

Having already read Dr. Pieri's Handbook on Tablighi Jamaat (which comes highly recommended), I was looking forward to the release of this book on Tablighi Jamaat and the attempts to construct their London "mega mosque". The book is comprehensive, insightful, scholarly and accessible. Pieri does a great job in outlining who TJ are, how the organization works, and tells us why this mosque is so important to the movement. The chapter also provides a detailed and in-depth ethnographic account of life in the TJ which is probably the best I have read on the movement. As well as this, he frames the debate in the wider discussion on how liberal democracies struggle to integrate illiberal and orthodox minorities and also draws on discussions relating to terrorism, securitzation, citizenship and Muslims in Europe. This book is a must read for anyone who wants a better understanding of Tablighi Jamaat and the ways in which Islamist movements attempt to adapt in western countries.
